Forklift Operator I – Fabrication Shop

Working Days: Monday–Saturday

We're hiring an experienced Forklift Operator to support a busy fabrication shop. This role requires operating large-capacity reach forklifts to safely move steel materials, unload trucks and railcars, and transport loads weighing up to 36,000 lbs. 

Responsibilities:

• Operate large reach forklifts to load, unload, and transport steel materials
• Unload steel from trucks and railcars weighing up to 36,000 lbs.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and report equipment issues
• Secure and transport loads safely throughout the facility
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist with material handling and other shop duties as needed

Requirements:

• Experience operating large-capacity reach forklifts
• Experience unloading trucks and railcars with heavy steel materials
• Ability to safely handle loads up to 36,000 lbs.
• Knowledge of proper load securing and material handling practices
• Experience in a fabrication, steel, or manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to work Monday–Saturday, 50–60 hours per week in a fast-paced shop
