1st Class Shipfitters – Philadelphia, PA

We're hiring experienced 1st Class Shipfitters for a long-term shipbuilding project in Philadelphia, PA.

Schedule:

• Working Days: Monday–Saturday
• Hours: 40–70 hours per week
• Duration: Long-term (1+ year)
• Per Diem: $150/day

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of shipfitting experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, or heavy industrial fabrication
• Strong blueprint reading, layout, fitting, and structural steel assembly skills
• Experience with oxy-acetylene cutting, SMAW (Stick) and FCAW (Flux Core) tack welding
• Proficient using grinders, torches, hand tools, and measuring equipment
• Ability to work independently while maintaining safety and quality standards

Testing Required:

• 1st Class Shipfitter Skills Test
• Written Knowledge Exam

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., work in confined spaces and at heights, wear required PPE, and work overtime and weekends as needed.
