Remote, CA (Depending on location, will be expected to be on-site once or twice a quarter)

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8-5pm PST

Salary: $220,000 - 250,000

Under policy direction, this position:

1. Provides strategic management oversight in implementing, directing and monitoring the Application Services Department functions

2. Directs the Application Services Department, acts as a subject matter expert, and provides direction and advice on application development functions and overall business operations

3. Directs, manages and supervises Application Services Department staff

Job Details:

• Directing software application implementation, configuration and maintenance based on business requirements
• Overseeing selection, purchasing or development, and architecture of software to ensure said software meets Alliance business needs
• Overseeing the integrity of Alliance data and information • Directing the implementation of processes to ensure high quality development, testing and implementation of new and revised software applications and robust technical system infrastructure
• Participating in the general administration of the Alliance as a member of the senior leadership team by providing input into the problem-solving and decision-making process
• Participating in strategic planning and implementation of the Application Services Department’s operational goals related to the growth and development of business operations
• Ensuring that Application Services Department goals and activities are in alignment with the strategic plan
• Conducting complex research and analysis related to application management strategies
• Ensuring that Application Services Department staff maintains up-to-date knowledge, skills and abilities related to the administration of assigned responsibilities and functions
• Identifying, overseeing and assisting with objectives, priorities, assignments and tasks and reviewing work products as needed
• Providing mentoring, coaching, and development and growth opportunities for staff and subordinate managers and supervisors

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field and a minimum of ten years of experience related to application services and development and electronic data interchange, including a minimum of three years of experience in a healthcare environment and a minimum of three years of management-level experience (a Master’s degree may substitute for two years of the required experience); or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying
• Experience with Medi-Cal
• Experience with AI/technology forward experience
• Health Plan experience preferred
