Apprentice Electrician – Yuma, AZ
Job Description
We are seeking Apprentice Electricians to assist with the installation of low-voltage horizontal cabling on a commercial construction project. Candidates will work alongside experienced electricians and technicians to install, route, and organize low-voltage cable throughout the jobsite.
Responsibilities:
- Pull and install low-voltage horizontal cable throughout commercial buildings.
- Route, support, and organize cable through ceilings, cable trays, J-hooks, and other pathways.
- Assist with cable preparation, labeling, and termination as directed.
- Maintain proper cable separation, bend radius, and installation practices.
- Read and follow basic construction drawings, cable schedules, and layout instructions.
- Use hand tools and basic electrical tools safely and effectively.
- Work from ladders, lifts, and elevated work areas as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Assist Journeyman Electricians and other electrical personnel with various jobsite tasks.
- Follow all OSHA, site-specific, and company safety requirements.
Qualifications:
- Apprentice-level electrical experience preferred.
- Previous low-voltage, structured cabling, or commercial construction experience is a plus.
- Basic understanding of electrical and low-voltage installation practices.
- Comfortable pulling cable and performing physically demanding work.
- Ability to work from ladders and lifts.
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance.
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a crew.
- OSHA 10 or other safety certifications are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work overhead for extended periods.
- Ability to work in active construction environments.
