Apprentice Ironworkers – Mesa, AZ

**Candidates must have experience with rigging, connecting, bolting, operating reach forklifts, and stick welding**.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural steel erection and installation in a data center construction environment.
• Rig, hoist, position, and guide structural steel members into place.
• Connect and secure structural steel using bolts and other fastening methods.
• Perform bolting-up and final tightening of structural steel connections.
• Perform stick welding (SMAW) as required; wire welding experience alone does not meet the client's requirements.
• Operate reach forklifts/telehandlers to move and position materials and equipment.
• Work safely at heights using proper fall protection and tie-off procedures.
• Read and follow basic structural drawings, layouts, and erection instructions.
• Work effectively as part of an ironworking crew and communicate with foremen, operators, riggers, and other trades.
• Maintain a strong focus on jobsite safety and follow all site-specific requirements.
• Perform physically demanding work outdoors and in Arizona temperatures exceeding 100°F.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous hands-on ironworking/structural steel erection experience.
• Candidates must be capable of performing multiple core ironworker functions, including rigging. - Connecting - Bolting-up - Reach forklift/telehandler operation - Stick welding
• OSHA 10 Is not required for this site.
• Journeyman candidates must demonstrate well-rounded ironworking experience and cannot be limited to only one of the skills listed above.
• Apprentice candidates should possess a solid foundation in basic ironworking skills and demonstrate a willingness and ability to learn.
• Ability to work safely at heights and in physically demanding conditions.
