Combo FItter / Welder

COMBO FITTER WELDER – SHIPYARD Location: Jacksonville, FL

We are seeking experienced Combo Fitter Welders to work at a shipyard in Jacksonville, FL. Candidates should have strong shipyard experience and be capable of performing both structural fitting and welding work.

Responsibilities:

• Fit and weld structural steel components and assemblies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
• Perform layout, fit-up, tack welding, and final welding.
• Use hand tools, power tools, cutting torches, grinders, and other shipyard equipment.
• Perform welding in multiple positions and maintain quality standards.
• Follow all shipyard safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Requirements:

• Previous shipyard or marine fabrication experience.
• Strong fitting and welding skills.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and welding symbols.
• Must be able to pass required weld/fitter testing.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DBIDS access credential.
• Must be able to pass required background and site-access screening.
