Job Description
Position Summary
The Electrical Pre-Commissioning Tech 2 performs advanced troubleshooting, commissioning support, and system validation activities for material handling and conveyor systems. This position requires independent work capability and the ability to mentor junior technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot electrical and controls-related issues on conveyor systems
- Read and interpret schematics, drawings, manuals, and checklists
- Support startup and commissioning of automated material handling systems
- Lead small teams and coordinate work activities
- Assist with pneumatics and air-operated systems
- Ensure project schedules and quality standards are met
- Support documentation and reporting requirements
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in industrial electrical systems or pre-commissioning
- Strong understanding of PLC processors and industrial networks AC/DC circuits and power distribution Material handling controls and wiring Electrical troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Intermediate computer proficiency
