Employee Health Medical Assistant – Vacaville, CA

Location: Vacaville, CA 

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM 

Hours: 40 hours/week | 8-hour shifts

Payrate: $23.33 - $25

Job Summary

We are seeking an Employee Health Medical Assistant to support employee health services and special projects. This role will primarily assist with employee health clinics, including flu clinics and respiratory fit testing, while also supporting new-hire medical clearances, return-to-work processes, employee exposures and injuries, TB documentation, wellness initiatives, and other Employee Health activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with Employee Health clinics, including flu and respiratory fit testing.
• Review new-hire medical information and assist with medical clearance.
• Verify medical clearance and return-to-work requirements.
• Support employee exposures, injuries, and follow-up activities.
• Assist with gathering and uploading TB results.
• Support preventative wellness, performance improvement, and injury reduction projects.
• Assist RN Coordinators and Employee Health specialists as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Medication administration coursework required.
• Current AHA or equivalent BLS certification.
• Medical Assistant state or national certification within 3 months of hire.
• Internal competency for injections.
• Previous medication administration experience required.
• One year of acute-care hospital or ambulatory care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, typing, and computer skills.
