Excavator Operator – El Paso, TX

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Excavator Operator to join our team. The primary responsibility of this position is operating an excavator for trenching, excavation, backfilling, and compaction work. Experience operating a skid steer is also highly desirable.  The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with heavy equipment, a strong understanding of safe equipment operation, and the ability to work efficiently in a physically demanding construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate excavators for trenching and excavation activities.
• Perform backfilling and compaction operations as directed.
• Operate skid steer equipment as needed.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow project plans, site instructions, and established safety procedures.
• Maintain proper trench dimensions, grades, and elevations as required.
• Follow all company and OSHA safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating an excavator in a construction environment.
• Experience with trenching, backfilling, and compaction.
• Skid steer operating experience is a plus.
• OSHA 10 certification or equivalent safety training required.
• Must have documented equipment competency or be able to demonstrate qualification on the equipment.
