Firewatch/General Laborer – Mesa, AZ
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a Firewatch / General Laborer supporting ongoing data center construction activities.
- Perform general labor and grunt work, including physically demanding tasks as directed by the site supervision.
- Perform general labor duties at elevated heights, following all required site safety procedures and fall-protection requirements.
- Maintain an active firewatch and monitor work areas for potential fire hazards when assigned.
- Know how to properly use a fire extinguisher and respond appropriately to potential fire hazards.
- Previous experience performing firewatch duties and/or using fire extinguishers is strongly preferred.
- Work outdoors and be prepared to perform physically demanding duties in extreme heat and changing weather conditions.
- Maintain awareness of surrounding workers, equipment, materials, and potential job-site hazards.
- Follow all data center, client, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Assist skilled trades and site personnel with general labor tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Comfortable working in extreme heats.
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time.
- Physically capable/willing to perform grunt work throughout the shift.
- OSHA 10 Is not required for this site.
Additional Information
- Type 2 hard hat w/chin strap and safety vests are required.
- 8-10 hour shifts daily.
- Job scheduled to run for the next 3-4 months.
