Journeyman Electrician – Fort Mitchell, KY

Job Description:  We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician for a commercial construction project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in conduit installation, electrical layout, wire pulling, terminations, and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications. Candidates must have extensive knowledge of the NEC and be able to work independently while following direction from the Foreman and project leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Run, bend, and install conduit up to 2 inches
• Lay out and install box supports, electrical boxes, disconnects, and related equipment
• Pull and route wire throughout the project
• Perform electrical terminations and connections
• Understand and apply proper torque values for electrical connections
• Read and accurately interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, plans, and specification sheets
• Lay out electrical work according to project plans and specifications
• Follow instructions from Foremen and project management
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all OSHA, jobsite, and electrical safety requirements
• Perform work in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC)

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of commercial electrical experience
• Journeyman-level electrical experience
• Extensive experience running and bending conduit up to 2"
• Strong knowledge of box supports, electrical boxes, disconnects, and equipment installation
• Experience pulling wire and completing electrical terminations
• Thorough understanding of torque requirements and proper termination procedures
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specification sheets
• Extensive knowledge of the NEC
• Must be able to follow instructions and work effectively with a Foreman and crew
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a commercial construction environment
