Job Description

Position Summary

The Working Team Lead/Electrician is responsible for providing hands-on leadership and oversight to subcontracted electrical crews on projects. This individual must possess journeyman-level electrical skills and demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities. The role reports directly to the Project Superintendent and serves as the primary field liaison between supervision and subcontracted electricians.

The Working Team Lead is responsible for ensuring all electrical work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and schedule requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily oversight and direction to subcontracted electrical crews.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable electrical codes, project specifications, and ORR quality standards.
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all site safety requirements.
  • Perform hands-on electrical work as needed while leading field operations.
  • Monitor workmanship and productivity of subcontractors to ensure high-quality installation practices.
  • Document daily activities, manpower, completed work, and field issues.
  • Communicate daily progress, schedule updates, and project concerns to the ORR Project Superintendent.
  • Coordinate with other trades and field personnel to support overall project execution.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving field-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Support project scheduling and help maintain milestone commitments.
  • Maintain professional relationships with subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and project personnel.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman-level electrical experience required.
  • OSHA 10 certification required.
  • Previous leadership, foreman, or crew lead experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of commercial and/or industrial electrical systems and installations.
  • Knowledge of applicable safety standards and electrical codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in documenting daily field activities and reporting progress updates.
