Marine Mechanic – Cleveland, OH

We are seeking an experienced Marine Mechanic to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs primarily on tugboats and marine equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong diesel mechanical skills and experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on tugboats and marine equipment.
• Inspect equipment to identify potential problems and recommend repairs.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot engines and vessel systems.
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used.
• Ensure all work meets applicable safety and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly care for tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Marine Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or similar position.
• Tugboat, towboat, or commercial marine experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment with minimal supervision.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and reliable workmanship.
