Schedule: 5 days/week, 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM–6:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week
Pay: $23.33 - $25.00
Job Summary
We are seeking a Medical Assistant I – Occupational Health to provide basic direct patient care in an ambulatory care setting under the direction and supervision of a licensed physician. This role supports patient flow, medical records, clinic operations, occupational health services, and provider needs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including vital signs and clinical data collection.
- Assist providers with treatments and minor procedures.
- Follow infection control guidelines and standards.
- Document patient encounters, medications, vital signs, and education.
- Maintain clean and stocked examination/treatment rooms.
- Track abnormal test results and assist with follow-up.
- Prepare charts and manage medical records.
- Handle phone calls, messages, faxing, filing, and other clerical duties.
- Support billing and charge processes.
- Assist with occupational health services, including workers’ compensation and employee physical requirements.
- Complete physical examination paperwork according to company protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with certificate required.
- Current AHA or equivalent BLS certification required.
- One year of ambulatory care experience preferred.
- Previous workers’ compensation experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Basic computer and office equipment skills.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
- SYSTOC knowledge is desirable.
