Medical Laboratory Scientist – College Station, TX

Job Type: 13-Week Travel Assignment 

Schedule: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off 

Shift: Night Shift | 8:00 PM–6:30 AM 

Hours: 40 hours/week 

Payrate: $63.58 / Hour

About the Role

We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist 1 (MLS) to perform and monitor a full range of laboratory testing and analysis. This position is responsible for accurate test results, quality control, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and compliance with laboratory procedures and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests in accordance with department procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Follow quality control, quality assurance, safety, and infection control procedures.
• Perform instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Accurately report laboratory test results.
• Maintain appropriate inventory of laboratory supplies.
• Communicate effectively with laboratory personnel, other departments, and external customers.
• Participate in laboratory projects and educational activities.
• Demonstrate and educate others on laboratory principles and technical skills.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience.
• MLS certification through ASCP or AMT required.
• BLS – AHA only required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience as indicated by the job requirements.
• Knowledge of laboratory regulations, protocols, and procedures.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to perform laboratory protocols and procedures.
• Computer and related software skills.
• Knowledge of safety and infection control standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
