Outfitter – Marinette, WI

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Marine Outfitters to join a shipbuilding facility in Marinette, WI. This position involves installing, assembling, and fitting various components and equipment aboard vessels supporting DOT and DOD projects. Candidates should have experience working in a shipyard or industrial fabrication environment and be comfortable working from blueprints and installation drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install and assemble marine equipment, components, fixtures, and structural supports.
• Fit and install brackets, foundations, ladders, handrails, doors, hatches, and other vessel components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Perform measuring, cutting, grinding, drilling, and fitting as required.
• Use hand tools and power tools to complete installations.
• Perform tack welding and minor fabrication as needed.
• Ensure all work meets shipbuilding specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Requirements

• Previous marine outfitting, shipyard, or industrial fabrication experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, grinders, and measuring equipment.
• Welding and fitting experience is a plus.
• Ability to work in a shipbuilding environment supporting DOT and DOD projects.
• Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and quality-focused.
