Project Manager, Fabrication & Automation

We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee multiple electrical and automation projects from order entry through shipment. This role will manage schedules, budgets, procurement, production coordination, customer communication, and vendor relationships while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project schedules, budgets, labor hours, materials, change orders, and scope changes.
• Serve as the primary customer contact and provide project updates, delivery schedules, inspections, and FAT coordination.
• Obtain vendor quotes, manage procurement, monitor lead times, and resolve supplier issues.
• Coordinate with engineering and production teams to maintain schedules and resolve BOM/component issues.
• Identify and address project risks, procurement delays, and scheduling challenges.
• Support continuous improvement and maintain strong customer and vendor relationships.

Technical Knowledge

Working knowledge of:

• PLCs, remote I/O, HMIs, and industrial networking
• Control panel construction and UL 508A
• Electrical/automation components and major manufacturers such as Rockwell, Emerson, Phoenix Contact, ABB, Eaton, Siemens, and Schneider Electric
• Power distribution equipment such as PDCs, switchboards, MCCs, transformers, and low-voltage systems is a plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 1–3 years of experience in project management, utilities, manufacturing, or a related industry.
• Construction and industry standards knowledge.
• PMP certification and natural gas experience are a plus.
