Project Manager – Renewable Energy
This is a traveling position with a rotation home - 2 weeks on site, 1 week home. All travel paid for.
$160/day per diem, paid all 7 days.
Company truck + fuel card eligible.
Position Summary
Lead the successful delivery of PV, BESS, microgrid, and distributed energy projects from design and procurement through construction, commissioning, and closeout. Responsible for project scope, budget, schedule, safety, quality, contracts, and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project budgets, schedules, cost controls, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Oversee subcontractors, vendors, Superintendents, engineering, and field teams.
- Manage scopes of work, RFPs, bids, contracts, change orders, RFIs, and shop drawings.
- Coordinate permitting, inspections, utility interconnection, logistics, and site activities.
- Maintain project schedules and provide monthly updates to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and contract requirements.
- Manage subcontractor invoices, progress payments, and project documentation.
- Coordinate project turnover with O&M and ensure successful closeout.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, owners, inspectors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- 5–7+ years of project management experience.
- Electrical/renewable energy experience preferred.
- Experience with PV, BESS, microgrids, or distributed energy systems strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, financial management, scheduling, and contract administration skills.
- Knowledge of solar electrical systems, inverters, racking, DC/AC wiring, interconnection, switchgear, NEC, and related equipment is a plus.
