Registered Nurse (Urgent Care) – Chula Vista, CA
Job Description
Location: Chula Vista, CA
Assignment Length: 4 months
Pay Rate: $54.37–$70.08 per hour
Schedule
Monday–Friday, with rotating shifts:
- 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- 11:30 AM–8:00 PM
- 12:00 PM–8:30 PM
Shift hours will vary based on rotation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients presenting to an urgent care facility.
- Perform patient triage, assess symptoms, and determine the urgency of care needed.
- Obtain and document patient histories, vital signs, and relevant clinical information.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient evaluations, treatments, and procedures as needed.
- Monitor patients' conditions and report significant changes to the appropriate healthcare provider.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care as directed.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with established procedures.
- Follow infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and applicable nursing guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and other clinical staff to support efficient patient care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
- At least 1 year of RN experience.
- Urgent Care triage experience is required.
- Current California Registered Nurse license.
- Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Bilingual skills are not required.
