Sandblasters

Job Description:

We are seeking experienced Industrial Coatings Technicians / Sandblasters for work in North Phoenix, AZ. This role involves surface preparation, abrasive blasting, industrial coating application, and equipment operation in an active industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform sandblasting on concrete surfaces using high-pressure hoses, compressors, and sand pots
• Operate compressors and sandblasting equipment safely and efficiently
• Work with hoses and blasting equipment from scissor lifts and ground level
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, blasting, and masking to ensure proper coating adhesion
• Apply industrial coatings including primers, epoxy, urethane, and specialty finishes using spray guns, rollers, and brushes
• Mix paints and coatings according to technical specifications and safety standards
• Inspect completed work for coating thickness, quality, and uniformity
• Operate and maintain spray equipment, compressors, and related tools
• Follow all OSHA regulations, site safety requirements, and PPE standards

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an industrial painter, sandblaster, or coatings technician in industrial, manufacturing, or construction environments
• Experience with abrasive blasting and industrial coating application methods
• Knowledge of epoxies, polyurethanes, zinc-based primers, and specialty coatings
• Ability to read and interpret coating specifications and technical documents
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and industrial jobsite practices

Preferred Qualifications:

• UHP pressure washer experience preferred
• Experience installing chemical containment coatings on concrete or fiberglass systems
• Industrial painting or coatings certifications preferred
• Forklift or heavy equipment certification a plus
• Journeyman Coating experience or certification preferred
