Seam Welder – Marinette, WI

SEAM WELDER – NORTHEAST WISCONSIN SHIPYARD

Pay: $32/hr + $185/day Per Diem (days worked)
Sign-On Bonus: $500
Schedule: Monday–Saturday | 40+ hours/week with overtime
Duration: 1 Year

We’re hiring experienced Seam Welders for new vessel construction at a shipyard in Northeast Wisconsin.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of FCAW (Flux Core) welding experience
• Experience welding with .052 flux-core wire
• Ability to perform 2G & 3G full-penetration welds using ceramic backing tape
• Ability to read blueprints, fit and assemble joints, and maintain shipyard quality standards
• Shipbuilding, structural steel, or heavy industrial fabrication experience preferred

Weld Test:

• Fit and weld four 12" x 12" x 3/8" steel plates into a square
• Full-penetration FCAW welds using .052 wire
• 2G (Horizontal) & 3G (Vertical) positions
