Position: Specialty Medical Assistant 2 

Location: Float – Ocean View, El Cajon, and Precision Park, San Diego County, CA 

Job Type: Temporary (4-month assignment) 

Pay Rate: $28.89–$35.85 per hour

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Monday and Wednesday: Ocean View
• Tuesday and Friday: El Cajon
• Thursday: Precision Park (administrative day; no patient care). The location may vary.
• Schedule is subject to change.

Reliable transportation is required to travel between clinic locations within San Diego County.

Position Overview

We are seeking a bilingual Spanish-speaking Specialty Medical Assistant 2 to support specialty care services. The ideal candidate has medical assistant experience, familiarity with electronic medical records, and the ability to assist with clinical procedures and patient care.

Requirements

• Completion of a course of study consistent with the requirements for Medical Assistants specified by the Medical Board of California.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers issued by the American Heart Association.
• Medical Assistant certification.
• At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant or recent work history in a specialty medical assistant role.
• Experience in a specialty such as Cardiology, Endocrinology, Hematology, Infectious Disease, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Pulmonology, Rheumatology, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, Acupuncture, Allergy, or Immunology.
• Bilingual in Spanish.
• Ability to read, write, and understand medical information and terminology.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to use computers and electronic medical records.
• Familiarity with clinical equipment, including wheelchairs, EKG machines, gurney tables, vital sign machines, pulse oximeters, autoclaves, and scales.
• Reliable transportation to travel to different clinic locations within San Diego County.
