Travel RN – PACU – Fairfield, CA

This is a Travel Position. Please do not apply if you live within 50 miles of the facility.

Candidates must live more than 50 miles away from the facility to be eligible.

Location: Fairfield, CA 

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM 

Hours: 40 hours/week, 8 hours/day

Payrate: $75 (Taxable: $40.39 | Non Taxable: $34.61)/

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced PACU RNs for an onsite travel assignment in Fairfield, CA. The RN will provide safe, effective, and quality nursing care for same-day outpatients transitioning to a critical care level inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Perform arrhythmia interpretation and respond appropriately to patient conditions.
• Safely administer medications and use equipment and instrumentation.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide safe patient handoffs and accurate documentation.
• Delegate and supervise appropriate tasks based on scope of practice and competency.
• Advocate for patients and support informed decision-making.
• Maintain culturally competent, age-appropriate, and ethical patient care.
• Support patient satisfaction and quality outcomes.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 5 years required; 5 years preferred.
• 1 year of ASC PACU experience may qualify.
• Experience in PACU, critical care, or ED nursing required.
• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing school.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree accepted.
• Current California RN License.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with arrhythmia interpretation.

Additional Certification Requirements

• PALS within 3 months of hire.
• TNCC once during nursing career or within 12 months of hire.
• Procedural Sedation Certification within 3 months.
• CCRN, CSPAN, ATCN, and TCAR preferred.
